Ways/etiquette to communicate about old topics

Hi, apologies if this question is not in the right place.  Browsing the forum I have found some topics with  information that I am very interested in.  However, they are all at least a couple years old.  If I try and ask questions on those topics, am I likely to get a response there? Or should I post a new topic referencing those old topics? Just want to know the best ways to use this forum.

Nice of you to ask about it.  I think you will just post in the old threads and hopefully someone answers it.

Have you tried the discord server and asked there too?

Oh wow, I didn't expect such a quick reply! Sorry for not replying sooner.  Thanks very much for your help.  I will have a look at the discord server too.
