As nube, I see some settings for SIMD core and expect this influence to the process speed.
Better CPU - faster result?

expectations of a quick result did not materialize

When bad mood replaced with finding a way to improve if possible
and first research shows
CPU load near the zero, all CPU cores do nothing
what for
      i <X>     set type of SIMD instructions. Without this flag programs autodetect it.         
        i 5   = AVX512         
        i 2   = AVX2         
this case?
If the read/write influence more than CPU may be good idea to mention it in help?
No wrong expectations will be.
