THe jtag connector is no more present; is there a way to connect jtag to it ?
Offline
If you look near the usb-cable there is 6pin-holes, this is where you hook up the jtag .

Interesting. What are is the AT91SAM? 256/512?
Cost?
Seller?

@0xFFFF
I updated my first post,
if you search on taobao you'll find the ad. There is only one who sell this model.
Offline
Thanks iceman.
Pity the Atmel is the AT91SAM7S256. Otherwise it's a very nice build.
Offline
I don't know if you have a special build, but I have a radiowars 512kb version I really don't see that the sourcecode uses it anywhere. I could of course have missunderstood how the arm uses memory, but I think its for static memory like where we flash the images to. But then, the 512kb version could also be faster, which I have no idea about.

I have a special build on a modified Proxmark that uses some of the additional internal high-speed flash (AT91SAM7S512).
I found the Proxmark on taobao. It's a reasonable price.
Offline
Cool, would you mind sharing it with me? So I can use it for my radiowar modded version.
To be honest, I think for what you get with regards for size, antenna and mmcx I think its a great price.
And it look really professional now, you will look serious when you do your fieldtesting or presentation
Actually, I think I will email the manufacturer Elechouse and ask if they can make a 512kb version also.

Indeed, this board looks very sweet! Finally someone who dared to replace the ridiculous hirose connector
I quickly tried to find it on taobao but I could not locate it.
- Can you share a link?
- What did it cost you (including shipping/handling)?
- Would anyone be interested in organizing a group buy?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Offline
Not to be insulting or anything, but when you search for "proxmark3" on taobao, the third ad shows this orange version and its the only ad selling this mod.
When it comes to group buys its only good if you are in the same region, like US or europe, oceania, because of import duty and shipping costs. If someone in US order 10pieces , has to pay for it to come to US, and pay duty tax, then send it and more duty tax for europe. Just sayin'.
I recommend you join up for the different regions and do a group buy.
I paid about 1800SEK in total to get it to Sweden with shipping, import tax, VAT & custom general fees.
But man is it worth it, just because of the professional look 'n feel.
I'm gonna mail the manufaturer and ask if they can make a 512kb version, if there is more interested?

I found my own picture (above in post1) in an ad for this pm3 mod, on taobao... That means that the creators of the PM3 RVD1 version reads this thread. I guess I just need to ask straight out here instead, if they can make a 512kb version?
Just to clarify to the community, I'm not associated with these people. I just bought 2 pieces.
Offline
funny that they used your image.. i like the battery port options, and the antenna ports. LCD would be a nice addition. I'm curious the effect of the clock source changes in practice.
i might be interested in 1, but alas, i'm in the US.

With this one, all trouble I had with @piwi's changes is gone. Some tags with "hf mf mifare" took long time on my other ones, takes 19sec with this one.
Both LF / HF tags works. I tried S50/S70 (magic / normal), UL / UL-C / UL-EV1 / Desfire, skidata, em410x, t5577 and hid proxcard, and I can read em all. "hf mf mifare" "hf mf nested" all works. So I don't see the clock as a major issue, but thats my opinion.
Big plus is mmcx connectors, and now I get both LF / HF at the same time. Not that it really has a impact, but the need for swapping antennas is gone.

yeah, i don't like swapping antennas, so i fixed that with a custom cable:
proxmark3> hw tune
Measuring antenna characteristics, please wait........
# LF antenna: 46.48 V @ 125.00 kHz
# LF antenna: 24.06 V @ 134.00 kHz
# LF optimal: 46.61 V @ 123.71 kHz
# HF antenna: 11.17 V @ 13.56 MHz
Displaying LF tuning graph. Divisor 89 is 134khz, 95 is 125khz.
but MMCX would be nice.
Thanks for your tests/experience.
Offline
I like your LF antenna... Did you make it yourself? I would like to have one with 46v to my old PM3
Offline
yeah i made them. i've got 4 of them around 45v now. small ones for some tiny tags, and big ones for different tests. but i usually use just one medium sized one. (3 pictured below)
basically followed:http://www.proxmark.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=90
but that isn't what this thread is about. if you'd like to know more email me.

Do you guys know what FPGA/ADC chips they have used?

@iceman, what was their response to your question about a 512kb version?
Offline
That kit has a case and an battery connector for soldering on yourself. Cool.
However, the price went up....
I haven't heard something from the people. They obviously took my pic from this thread and used it but they never answered my open question here in this thread.
Offline
Yeah, but it is less expensive than the rysc one, and it is without the crappy hirose connector. I will give it a try. In particular as with my rysc one too many "can't select card" errors occur using hf mf mifare and hf mf dump.
Offline
I still suggest you order it from taobao, besides the case and battery connector, is much cheaper.
Well, it all depends on where you located in the world and how much you want it
Offline
Saw that there is a new version released by the developer: RDV version 2.0.
You got your wish, now 512kb memory
It's cheaper too
Check it out here: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1.20141002.5.YZkAlo&scm=1007.10009.6098.i44011196753&id=45630625291&pvid=1ee730ef-f334-49f9-a986-e48a06f89075
I just bought one. They will only start delivering from June 10 onwards I think.

At the top of the listing they have "Foreign customers do not pay, please click on this link:"

My guess is that they don't want to bother with foreigners and their stupid questions. So they redirect you to a seller who speaks English. You might probably get that board from that other seller if you ask him.
But if you have an account on Tao with some buying history, they will not care that you are a foreigner. (please note that there is a limit of 1000 or 2000 YUAN for international credit card)

I talked with the seller. That is exactly what I thought.
The main store is for China and around. If you are from Europe, US, or else; talk with the other store (link provided in the description).
Same team, different staff.

Ok. Fair enough.
Thanks for checking app_o1

I've heard some feedback about the RVD version 2.
Improvments suggestions, if they are reading this thread.
----------------------------------
- multi color led ABCD instead of all red?
- Spartan III ? instead of the II ?
- micro SD for storage?
Offline
hmmm.. maybe i'll wait for the 3 before i buy my next pm3
Offline
I heard a rumor that the RDV 3 will have a EEPROM and LCD contact...
Offline
Potentially a dumb question: Does the standard PM3 codebase fully support this hardware?
Thanks,
tjhowse.
Offline
Not sure which hardware you are refering to but I saw a fork on GitHub where a user has soldered an eeprom to his pm3 and was adding the changes in sourcecode. Thats where I got the rumor about the RDV3...

This version is fully compatible with actual software. Elechouse change the microcontroller but replace it with a bigger flash size.
RDV2.0 is a very great PM3.
Offline
There should a quite a few ppl who bought the RDV2.0 and it should be 100% compatible as @meter says. I have the RDV1.0 and it works 100%.

I posted a link on how to use standalone mode for emulating tags here it is again if you need it
http://www.legacysecuritygroup.com/index.php/categories/9-rfid/7-proxmark-3-emulating-hid-tags-in-standalone-mode
Not trying to spam just help anyone that may need it
I am very pleased with the board so far no issues other than having to figure this out without documentation

Hi
I need a new board since i have too much problems with the pm3 from fpga.
Anyone have tested it

yes.
I would like any feedback about it and if it would work fine with the proxmark3 software
