Probably a Simple Question

I'm new to pm3 and trying to get it up and running and have a couple questions. I've been following the instructions from https://github.com/Proxmark/proxmark3/wiki/Windows, and was able to install the CDC driver from pm3-bin-756, and now it's recognized as a port with a COM# as shown below.

Since I had not gotten to the "Update Proxmark to the new CDC Serial Interface" step and it's already being shown as a port can I assume that I already have version r655 and can skip to this part of the step?

Also, the packaging my PM3 came in said it has version 2.2.0, which I've read is the latest and greatest, so will I even need to flash?

Sorry if this is frustratingly simple to answer.  I'm new to this and paranoid about bricking it after a few things I read.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Probably a Simple Question

You should not need the old flasher as you have a newer bootrom already.  2.2.0 was the last tagged semi stable version.  If you want the latest and greatest you can clone the github repo and compile/flash that.

Re: Probably a Simple Question

Thank you marshmellow.  So I would follow these steps, which I did before installing the driver...

Then this flashing procedure...minus the first #1.
