Hello
I have had magic cards that worked perfectly well. Where I was able to write whatever I want to block0. Even with incorrect data, I was always able to wipe/recover them easily.
Now, I got some "magic card" that are not so magic...
As per what it says with hf 14a reader, it does not have the Backdoor.
But I am able to re-write block 0 if I use the same Manufacturer Data as originally set for these tags!
Also, I destroyed a few sectors on some tags. Somehow, Key A & B were replaced with 0x000000000000
I usually get around this by rewriting the block with 12F+078069+12F
csetblk works for block 0 even though it gives me an error. (Halt error)
I cannot read back any block/sector using the command for magic chinese card.
The original command for classic card works to read block/sector with the correct.
So, is it a new specimen? Or is it something that you guys have already seen before?

This would be a magic tag Generation2, which doesn't use backdoor commands. Which makes it suiteable for phone app writing nfc.
Difference is that you can use the normal "hf mf wrbl" on block0,
I've not tested if these tags honor keyA/B, i.e. writes nethertheless what the key was supposed to be.
