Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can help me identify the tag in the image below. Nothing is detected when doing a "lf search" or a "hf search". However the tag seems to be a of a quite old system. As its kind of unique looking I am wondering if anyone else has seen one before and whether they know what type of tag it is? This one has Fermax written on it. Thanks a lot.

first step would be to determine the frequency:
try to figure out if there is a dropdown in the voltage on lf or hf antenna if you use 'hw tune' once without tag in reach of the antenna and once onto the antenna.
that helped me on my legic transponder as well - that will be also not detected on a 'hf search' but since I knew the frequency, I was trying all 'hf xxx read' and get lucky on 'hf legic reader' (I had to put the tag directly onto the antenna - but thats a special case on the legic-transponder )

Googling Fermax reveals some kind of spanish rfid system. Could be LF,

Looks like a DS1990 or similar. If it is a DS1190 you can easily purchase RW1190 Ibuttons and clone it with an arduino (google arduino ds1990 and rw1990 -- you can try reading it before buying rw1990's)
Thanks guys!
