Is the x-axis the timeline and the y-axis the voltage?

as far as i understand, you are correct.
the x axis are the samples#, but the time base there are sampled with depends on the read-command you've used.
the y axis is the voltage - but again, depending on the read method you've used, that signal may have been filtered (e.g. using the onboard peak detector). as a rule of thumb, low frequency (lf) read commands usually give you the signal on carrier level - while most hf-read commands (at least iso14k & iso15k) give you the signal on subcarrier level. (you wont see the 13.56mhz carrier)
