Hi all
at the current time, I am not in possession of an android phone that I want to root.
the wiki https://github.com/Proxmark/proxmark3/wiki/android reads this gives me x2 options
walrus or andprox
I have installed them both on my android.
---------------------------------------
upon running andprox I get the message:
Proxmark 3 firmware update required
reflash to the official Proxmark firmware v3.1.0/HEAD. Third-party firmware (e.g. iceman) is not supported by this software.
--------------------------------------
GitHub https://github.com/RfidResearchGroup/proxmark3 states that.. "Proxmark3 RDV4.0 is based on iceman fork" and the read me states
"Proxmark3 RDV4.0 Dedicated Github
This repo is based on iceman fork for Proxmark3. It is dedicated to bringing the most out of the new features for Proxmark3 RDV4.0 new hardware and design. Note that it also supports other Proxmark3 platforms as well!"
---------------------------------------
I'm not sure what to do in this situation..
is Proxmark firmware v3.1.0/HEAD for an earlier version than the RDV4.01?
will it work with the RDV4.01?
Should I abandon trying to use andprox, source myself an android I am willing to root and follow the following:
https://github.com/RfidResearchGroup/proxmark3/blob/master/doc/termux_notes.md
thanks in advanced

About android:
Walrus works over usb cable. With a limited set of commands.
Andprox, is a client, which don't support a Iceman based repo
About repos:
Offical repo works on your RDV4.
RRG/Iceman repo works on your RDV4
I suggest you follow the termux instructions instead of going down the Walrus or Andprox path.
https://github.com/RfidResearchGroup/pr … x_notes.md
Then you can easily choose what ever repo you feel is better.
