[SOLVED] Unable to run pre-compiled client

Hey all.

I promise I tried searching the forums diligently for similar issues but came out with nothing. Please excuse me if this was discussed recently and I missed it and kindly point me in the right direction.

Just received my RDV4.01 from Hacker Warehouse and am trying to run it with the latest client. I tried compiling the latest version (don't want to flash or anything, just want to run it as is) to no avail, but that is not what I am here for as I am pretty sure I can eventually figure that part out when I have more time to dig through my steps and what I could possibly have done wrong.

I decided to go for the pre-compiled version just to test the device (got it from https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1SyPB8t5Vo8O0Lh7PjNm3Kv-mO4BNbxjX), but I am unable to communicate with the proxmark for some reason.  I get the following message:

"unknown command:: 0x61334d50[!!] ERROR: cannot communicate with the Proxmark"

My older RDV2 ran on COM3, the new 4.01 likes COM4.

Would highly appreciate the help.

The recommendation is never mix client/fw.

You should run client and fw from same build.    So you will have to flash your device.

Turns out I was just being a noob. All done now.
