Impossible to write in tag.

Dear all;

I'd like to take the liberty of bothering you for a moment.

About a Mifare Classic 1k badge. I want to write inside (whatever the block is, it's an exercise).

First I'm looking for a key with the nested attack and then I'm looking for all of them with the command "hf mf nested 1 0 A 484558414354 d";

The problem is that when I do the command "hf mf wrbl 3 A 484558414354 01010101010101010101010101010101" the display returns to me;

#db# Cmd Error: 04
#db# Write block error
#db# WRITE BLOCK FINISHED
isOk:00

What do you think the problem is?

First, you should dump your tag.
Then, you will be able to check acces bytes for each sector (16 sectors for a Mifare 1K) => according to these access bytes, you may have to use B key in order to write a block in the sector concerned.

Anyway, another thing is wrong with your test : you try to write the trailer block (3). Try writing block 2 or 4 instead (and likely with B key instead of A key).

Check if you are confused between block and sector!
Block 3 is in sector 0 .the sector 0 is unwritable if you are editing a uid non writable

I suggest that only block 0 is not writable (except on magic cards).
All other blocks are writable (except trailers blocks - (block+1) %4 -, that can be locked definitively via their respective access bytes)
