Hello all,
I'm facing a problem while using the hf mf restore command.
I use it without arguments. I do have the right key.bin file.
Unfortunately, on some sectors I get write error (auth error).
The access rights of these sectors only allow writing with B key.
If I try to write throught hf mf wrbl 4 B <key> <block data>, it is a success.
My question is : does hf mf restore use only key A when restoring a dump ?
It doesn't use the access bytes that are in the dump file in order to use the right key ?
Thank you, and sorry if my question is too "newbie"

The restore kind of assumes the card you are restoring to is blank and filled with 0xFFFFFFFFFFFF keys.

Oh yess ok I see.
Why do we have to have a key file then ?

I don't have that fresh in my memory, You need to look at the source code into order to get that answer
